Servicing & fault investigation
A whole-system heat pump service, not just a quick visual inspection
The heat pump is only one part of the heating system. Depending on the model and installation, we can inspect the outdoor unit, hydraulic circuit, filters and strainers, system pressure and flow, glycol protection, cylinder safety devices and controls. If you have a fault code, poor heating, unusual noise or another problem, include the symptoms when you contact us so we can assess the next step.
Outdoor unit
Coil and fin condition, appropriate cleaning, fan operation, casing condition, visible signs of oil leakage or physical damage, pipe insulation and condensate drainage.
Hydraulic system
Water filters and strainers, system pressure, flow rates, valves, pumps and removal of trapped air that could restrict circulation.
Glycol / anti-freeze
System fluid protection can be tested with the appropriate equipment to assess glycol or anti-freeze concentration where used.
Cylinder safety
Relevant hot-water-cylinder safety devices, including temperature and pressure relief arrangements where fitted and within scope.
Controls
Controller settings, weather compensation and heating schedules can be reviewed so the system is set appropriately for the property.
Service record
A service report can document checks carried out, system condition and any recommendations requiring attention.
